The Open Space Team plays a vital role in maintaining Kingston's beautiful parks, gardens, and public spaces. As part of this dynamic team, you'll contribute to creating a welcoming, sustainable environment for all.

The role

We are seeking a self-motivated leader to coordinate and general horticulture maintenance activities for the beautification of Councils open spaces and buildings.

With an eye for detail, you should be passionate about plants and landscape management.

You will also

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated crew in horticultural maintenance activities
  • Schedule work tasks, assign responsibilities, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Guide and support crew members in proper horticultural techniques.
  • Ensure that maintenance tasks are executed effectively and followed.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Relevant qualifications in Horticulture, Arboriculture, or a related field or proven experience in a similar Horticulture Crew Leader or supervisory role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of horticultural techniques, plant care, and landscaping
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to use laptops/tablets
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Current employee Working with Children Check
  • Current Victorian Divers license
