Our Carrum Family and Children's Centre is seeking an experienced Centre Host and Administration officer to for the following part time position.

Workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm

Commencement: February 2025

The City of Kingston operates three Family and Children's Centres in Carrum, Edithvale and Parkdale with our Carrum Centre proudly holding an “Excellent” rating under the National Quality Standard.

A bit about the role:

This role is key in customer service and administration at the Family and Children’s Centres. We work closely with the community to create a welcoming and supportive environment for children and families. As the main point of contact in our integrated service and an important team member, you'll help shape our culture while providing essential admin support to families and leadership at the centre.

In this role you will:

  • Provide administration and operational support to the Early Years team.
  • Assist families with inquiries about enrolment, programs, billing and services. 
  • Maintain and update client records and databases, ensuring compliance. 
  • Manage enrolments for new families and maintain staff records.
  • Oversee family accounts, process payments, issue invoices, manage financial tasks and overall service utilisation.                                                                  

What You’ll Bring:

As a passionate, organised, and confident individual, you will have a strong passion for engaging with and supporting the community along with the following. 

  • Experience in a similar role within an Early Childhood setting with a sound understanding of childcare subsidy, kindergarten funding, managing enrolments, liaising with government departments, and experience with Child Care Management Software e.g. XAP preferred.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working in a job share arrangements, providing comprehensive administrative and operational support.  
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in managing client records, financial tasks and maintaining databases.
  • Be adept at using IT systems and software, with a strong grasp of MS Office and other relevant applications. 
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and ethical standards.
