We're seeking a dynamic Civil Maintenance Audit Officer to join our innovative team. This hybrid role puts you at the forefront of municipal asset management. About this opportunity

As a Civil Maintenance Audit Officer, you’ll inspect and report on the condition of Council’s civil assets. Working with the City Works team, you’ll help maintain accurate data in our asset management system and ensure maintenance work meets high standards of quality and safety. This hands-on role offers variety and a chance to make a real difference in the community

What you’ll deliver                         

  • Conduct civil infrastructure inspections and record defects through Council’s corporate system
  • Provide insights on roads and drainage maintenance
  • Assist with scheduling, contractor performance audits, and OHS reporting
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of Council’s asset management data and systems
  • Implement traffic management plans, respond to maintenance emergencies, and operate minor plant equipment
  • Build positive, proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

 

Your Skills and Experience

You’re a motivated professional who takes pride in quality work and great customer service. You bring practical knowledge, teamwork, and sound attention to detail to every task.

To be successful, you’ll need:

  • Relevant experience in civil infrastructure or maintenance
  • Valid Victorian driver’s license (Medium Rigid Truck Endorsement preferred, or willingness to obtain)
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • The following qualifications (or willingness to obtain):
    • Level 2 First Aid Certificate
    • Construction Induction White Card
    • Level 1 Bridge Inspection
    • Traffic Management Qualification
