The role

We are seeking a creative communications and engagement professional to join the Advocacy, Communication and Engagement team. Reporting to the Program Leader - Strategic Communications and Engagement, your role is to:

  • Develop engaging, meaningful and informative communications to promote services and initiatives and keep our community informed
  • Provide strategic communications advice to all levels of the organisation
  • Look for opportunities to promote Council and identify potential issues and risks
  • Plan and lead engagement strategies, giving a voice to the people impacted by decisions.

 

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Excellent relationship building skills, political acumen and sound decision making
  • A strong ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Extensive experience delivering communications and engagement strategies
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or similar field, or commensurate experience.
