About the team 
 
The Business Support team sits proudly front and centre of Compliance and Amenity, with a supportive focus on Local Laws and Parking Services.

We are looking for an Administration Officer to join our team. In this role, you will provide customer service to all community members and staff within the Organisation. The position works with employees at all levels across Council ensuring the accurate and timely coordination of information into and out of the department.

Responsibilities include                         

  • Provide accurate and timely advice to internal and external customers regarding departmental functions, services and legislation
  • Contribute to and assist in the development of a culture of consistency, equity and quality by adopting best practices with customer centric focus and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Input accurate records of customer service requests electronically using Council database system (currently Pathway) – this includes the allocation of requests to areas and in urgent/emergency cases, direct to an area Officer for immediate action
  • Provide administrative support to the department as a whole, including the word processing, filing and maintenance of records, processing registrations and renewals, issuing of permits, bookings and distribution of correspondence to the department
