Kingston Youth Services is a passionate and dedicated team supporting young people aged 12 to 25 who live, work and study in the City of Kingston. We deliver a range of programs, events and support services that aim to support, connect and strengthen young people's connection to community. As a Rainbow Tick accredited service, we are committed to creating inclusive, safe and welcoming spaces for all young people.
We’re on the lookout for a dynamic, motivated Youth Worker to join our friendly and inclusive team at Kingston Youth Services! In this role, you’ll work directly with young people aged 12 to 25 (and their families) to offer support, build connections, and help them thrive. From one-on-one support to delivering fun, engaging programs in schools and local communities—you’ll be doing work that matters every day.
Other responsibilities include:
Plan, deliver and evaluate school-based and community-based programs that respond to the needs of young people
Support young people to advocate for themselves and access the services they need
Collaborate closely with a passionate and skilled team who are all about supporting and empowering young people
A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them reach their goals
Experience in youth work or related fields, including providing direct support or case management
Skills in program planning, facilitation and evaluation (bonus points if you love being creative!)
The ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds in a respectful and inclusive way
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A sound understanding of youth issues and a commitment to ethical, youth-centered practice
Relevant qualifications in youth work, social work, community services or a related field
