• $100,968 - $110,162 per annum pro rata plus superannuation (dependent on experience)

About the team

Reporting to the Team Leader – Children’s Services Partnerships, you will bring both leadership and practice expertise to this senior role.

You’ll be part of a dynamic, supportive team that values collaboration and innovation.

You’ll lead and support a team of dedicated and passionate Playgroup Facilitators while actively building strong, trusted relationships with families and community partners.

About this opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Supported Playgroup Facilitator to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that our playgroups are not only welcoming and inclusive, but also high-quality, evidence-informed and responsive to family needs.

As our Senior Supported Playgroup Facilitator, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping positive outcomes for children and families in our community. This is more than playgroup facilitation — it’s a highly skilled, professional role where your expertise in early childhood development, family engagement, and leadership will shine.

• Strong, respectful relationships with families, fostering safe, inclusive and engaging environments
• Effective partnerships and well-established referral pathways across the community sector
• Increased engagement of eligible families in supported playgroups and in-home support
• A confident, capable team of Playgroup Facilitators delivering high-quality practice
• High-performing programs that meet funding requirements and achieve key outcomes

What You’ll Bring

You are a values-driven professional with a deep understanding of the impact of early childhood experiences and family support. You recognise that supported playgroups are skilled, intentional interventions — and you bring the professionalism and leadership they require.

• A tertiary qualification in Human Services (e.g. Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field)
• Proven experience leading and supporting teams in a collaborative environment
• Extensive experience delivering supported playgroups or early childhood education and care services
• Strong expertise working with families experiencing vulnerability, with a strengths-based approach
• Excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for community connection
