Are you someone who is caring and creative, eager to inspire the next generation? We are seeking enthusiastic Diploma Qualified Educators to join our vibrant community at the City of Kingston 

  • Band 4 $74,303.91 - $79,054.09 per annum (PT pro rata) plus superannuation 
  • Location: Parkdale Family and Children's Centre

We have the following positions available:

  • 2 x Permanent Full Time Diploma Qualified Educators 
  • 1 x Temporary Full Time Diploma Qualified Educators (12 month contract commencing in August)
  • 1 x Part Time Diploma Qualified Educators (Mondays and Tuesdays)

A bit about the role  

The Diploma Qualified Educator provides responsive high quality care and education for children in accordance with the City of Kingston Policies, Procedures, Philosophies, relevant Regulations and Frameworks. Under the guidance of the Education and Care Leader or Kindergarten Teacher contribute to the planning, implementing and evaluating children’s learning. Provide leadership and guidance to Early Years Educators. 

In this role you will

  • Supervise Children: Ensure the safety of every child by supervising their activities at all times 
  • Build relationships: Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with children, families and other team members  
  • Work Together: Collaborate with leaders, coworkers, families, children, and the community 
  • Adhere to the requirements of the National Quality Standards and framework, Regulations and EYLF                                                                                  
  • Program Implementation: Assist in the implementation of high-quality children’s programs that respond to individual strengths and interests of children, families, and staff. 

Your Skills and Experience

As a passionate, caring and nurturing individual, you will have a strong passion for Early Childhood education along with the following; 

  • Minimum Qualification:  Diploma of early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) 
  • Clearances: Current Employee Working with Children check
  • First Aid Certification: Level 2 First Aid, including Asthma & Anaphylaxis management and CPR 
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Solid understanding of the expectations of the Victorian and National Curriculum Frameworks, National Quality Standards and the current Regulations.
