  • $76,383 to $81,228 per annum (dependent on experience) + plus superannuation
  • Location: Waves Leisure Centre, and Mordi Aquatic to support operations across Kingston's aquatic and leisure centres

About the Team

Our Health and Wellbeing team delivers a range of fitness, exercise and wellbeing programs designed to support community health and participation. We work collaboratively to provide high-quality services, maintain safe environments, and create positive experiences for members, visitors and program participants

About the Role

As the Health and Wellbeing Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day delivery of health, fitness and wellbeing programs across Kingston's aquatic and leisure centres.

Working closely with the Health and Wellbeing Coordinator, you will supervise gym staff, support program delivery and scheduling, and help ensure services are safe, compliant and customer-focused.

You will support community participation in health and wellbeing services while contributing to the effective operation of the centres and the delivery of positive customer experiences

What You'll Deliver

  • Health, fitness and wellbeing programs that support participation, engagement and positive community outcomes
  • Fitness assessments and tailored exercise programs
  • Effective support and supervision of gym instructors and personal trainers on duty
  • Daily scheduling and coordination of health and wellbeing services to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Excellent customer experiences and responsive service delivery
  • Effective relationships with community groups, schools, clubs and external stakeholders
  • Compliance with industry standards, legislation, policies and procedures
  • Support for the planning and delivery of health and wellbeing events and special programs across the centres

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience delivering health, fitness or wellbeing programs
  • Experience supervising staff and supporting team operations in a leisure, fitness or recreation environment
  • Ability to conduct fitness assessments and develop exercise programs aligned with individual goals, needs and abilities
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with community stakeholders and centre users
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety and compliance

Qualifications

  • Certificate III and IV in Fitness
  • Current Fitness Industry Registration (desirable)
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and Current CPR Certificate
  • Employee Working with Children Check
