As a Lifeguard at Waves Leisure Centre, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all patrons in our aquatic facility. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and a positive work culture, fostering an environment where teamwork and communication are key to providing the best experience for our patrons.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include supervising members and guest, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and responding to emergencies with confidence and professionalism.

What you’ll deliver

Your role includes but is not limited to:                      

  • Maintaining clean and safe pool facilities whilst adhering to health and safety principles
  • Supervision of aquatic areas and patron activities to ensure safety
  • Providing professional and friendly interactions with centre members and guests
  • Providing accurate information about centre services
  • Communicating centre policies and procedures to patrons

Your Skills and Experience

As a lifeguard you will need to have

  • A current Pool Lifeguard award with CPR and Defibrillator certificate*
  • Current Level 2 First Aid certificate*
  • Employee Working with Children’s Check

*attained from a nationally registered training organisation
