Front of house Supervisor: $43.76 per hour (including 25% casual loading) + superannuation
Venue Supervisor: $47.00 (including 25% casual loading) + superannuation
Location: Kingston Arts Precinct
We’re looking for enthusiastic, customer focused individuals to join our Front of House team at Kingston Arts. If you enjoy working in dynamic event environments and creating positive experiences for audiences, artists and hirers, we’d love to hear from you.
We are recruiting for:
Front of House Supervisor (Band 3)
Venue Supervisor (Band 4)
Both roles report to the Coordinator Front of House and work across multiple Kingston Arts venues, including evenings and weekends.
About each of the roles
Front of House Supervisor
Deliver great customer experiences and support smooth event operations.
As a Front of House Supervisor, you'll be a key contact for patrons, hirers and artists, ensuring events run safely, professionally and with a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll supervise small teams, run events independently and support bar, café and venue operations as required.
Note: Successful candidates will be required to undertake training and work as a Front of House Officer when rostered, as part of this role.
Key focus areas:
Oversee small–medium events from setup to pack down
Deliver friendly, proactive customer service
Supervise FOH Officers, contractors and volunteers
Support bar/café service, minor technical setups and venue checks
Complete shift reports and basic administrative tasks
Act as a warden and provide First Aid during incidents
Ensure compliance with RSA and venue procedures
Qualifications & Experience
Proven customer service experience in hospitality and/or arts environments
Experience leading teams in the delivery of tasks and events
Experience in bar and barista service
Experience cash handling including floats, registers, EFTPOS and reconciliations
Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Current First Aid & CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Current Employee working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Venue Supervisor
Lead FOH delivery across bar, box office, café and performance spaces.
The Venue Supervisor oversees the smooth running of events and activities across Kingston Arts venues, working closely with the Coordinator Front of House and other team members. This role rotates across operational areas and provides a leadership presence during events.
Note: Successful candidates will be required to undertake training and work as a Front of House Officer and Front of House Supervisor when rostered, as part of this role.
Key focus areas:
Lead FOH operations across multiple service points
Provide high-quality customer service to patrons and hirers
Conduct pre-, during and post-event venue checks
Support bar, box office and café operations, including cash handling
Complete event reports, stock checks and administrative tasks
Manage safety, incidents, evacuations and First Aid
Ensure compliance with RSA, Safe Food Handling and OH&S requirements
