About the team

Our Aquatic & Leisure team delivers safe, inclusive and engaging programs across Kingston Leisure Centres. Services support community health and wellbeing through high-quality aquatic services for all ages and abilities, with a strong focus on safety, access and service excellence.

About the role

Reporting to the Aquatics Coordinator, this role supports aquatic program delivery, supervises staff, and ensures safe, efficient operations. The position combines program coordination, team supervision and customer service.

The role is currently based at Waves Leisure Centre and will require working at the new Mordi Aquatic Centre once it opens.

What you’ll deliver:                          

  • Plan and deliver aquatic programs for community members and school groups
  • Supervise daily operations to meet safety, compliance and service standards
  • Provide direction to aquatic staff, including rostering and day-to-day coordination
  • Manage bookings, enrolments and program schedules
  • Deliver swim lessons and aquatic programs as required
  • Respond to customer enquiries and resolve issues in line with procedures
  • Work with schools, user groups and internal teams to support program delivery

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience delivering and coordinating aquatic programs
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and support service delivery
  • Sound knowledge of aquatic safety standards and OH&S requirements
  • Experience managing bookings, enrolments and program logistics
  • Clear communication skills and providing instructions and information
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams to support service delivery

 Required Qualifications:

  • Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
  • Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics
  • Current Level 2 First Aid
  • Current CPR certification
