Join a collaborative and customer-focused team dedicated to creating welcoming, safe, and engaging fitness environments for the community. The team works closely together to deliver high-quality programs, share knowledge, and continuously improve services to meet evolving customer needs

About the role

As a Gym Instructor, you will support members to achieve their fitness goals by providing safe, effective guidance and delivering engaging small group training sessions. You’ll play an important role in creating a positive gym environment and contributing to strong member satisfaction and participation.

The role is currently based at Waves Leisure Centre, with opportunities to work at the new Mordi Aquatic Centre once it opens.

What you’ll deliver

  • Fitness programs and consultations tailored to individual needs
  • Clear guidance on safe and effective use of gym equipment
  • Personal training sessions, with the opportunity to build a client base
  • Engaging small group training sessions
  • A clean, safe, and well-maintained gym environment
  • Timely and helpful for member enquiries and feedback
  • Day-to-day gym operations, including basic admin and record keeping

 Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience delivering fitness instruction or personal training
  • Ability to provide clear and practical fitness advice
  • Skills in engaging and supporting a wide range of gym users
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage daily tasks

 Qualifications

  • Certificate III and IV in Fitness
  • Current Fitness Industry Registration (desirable)
  • Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate 
  • Group fitness instructor qualifications will be highly regarded
