About the team

AccessCare provides community care that supports older people, people with disabilities, and those with complex needs or at risk of homelessness, helping them to live safely and independently at home. Funded by the Commonwealth and Victorian governments, we deliver services across Kingston, Bayside, Glen Eira, Stonnington, and Port Phillip.

About this opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team as Coordinator Community Support. The role oversees our Community Bus and Home Maintenance programs, ensuring clients remain safe, connected, and supported in their daily lives.

In this dynamic role, you will lead a dedicated team, manage program delivery, and ensure and ensure high-quality, client-focused services across both home maintenance and transport operations.

Other Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and improve programs that promote independence and social inclusion 
  • Lead and support a team of Community Bus Drivers and Home Maintenance Officers 
  • Coordinate reporting, audits, and performance monitoring to drive continuous improvement 
  • Build strong relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders 
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and program standards

  • Experience in program management and service coordination
  • Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills 
  • Knowledge of compliance, safety, and quality frameworks 
  • A genuine commitment to community wellbeing and customer service excellence 

Qualifications

The following qualifications and experience are required for the position:

  • Tertiary qualifications in management or equivalent experience in coordinating, motivating, and guiding staff in a similar environment 
  • Knowledge and experience in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices

The following qualifications and experience would be desirable for the position:

  • Relevant public sector experience
  • Understanding of the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and change to the Support at Home program (SAH)
  • Heavy Duty Licence and/or Driver’s Certificate or knowledge of related requirements, will be advantageous
