The City of Kingston Family and Children's Centres are looking for a Senior Coordinator (Centre Director) to join our team.  This role provides strategic leadership to a large team, overseeing service operations to ensure regulatory compliance, effective resource management, accurate financial forecasting and reporting, and proactive engagement with staff and families to address needs, issues, and complaints.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have proven experience leading large teams within an early childhood education setting, with strong capabilities in overseeing daily service operations and ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework and all relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrate excellence in strategic planning, financial management, and the ability to monitor utilisation, income, and expenditure effectively.
  • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage collaboratively with staff, families, internal and external stakeholders, and the wider community to foster a high-quality, inclusive, and responsive learning environment.
  • Be a confident leader who is organised, outcomes-focused, and committed to continuous improvement in early childhood education and care.
  • Relevant qualifications e.g. Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
  • A current Working with Children's Check
  • Level 2 First Aid Certificate including: Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management and CPR Certificate, Mandatory Reporting.
