Our Parkdale Family and Children's Centre is looking for an experienced Educational Leader to inspire and empower our Early Years Educators and Teachers, driving excellence and innovation in the delivery of high-quality educational programs at our Exceeding-rated service.

We have the following position available:

1 x Full time permanent position, with monthly ADO

What you'll do:

  • Share pedagogical expertise, provide leadership, mentoring and curriculum-related direction.
  • Lead and mentor educators on the floor to strengthen practice, supporting observations, inclusive practices and high-quality program delivery.
  • Manage student placements and liaising with educational institutions.
  • Lead the implementation of the educational program, including School Readiness Funding and other grant applications.
  • Lead processes for applying for additional staffing supports such as ISS and KIS funding.
  • Work closely with the Centre Coordinators to support service strategic planning, and to develop, implement and monitor the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
  • Build partnerships with colleagues, families, internal and external stakeholders, community organisations and schools.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, philosophies and practices in line with legislative requirements and quality standards.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to guide and support Early Years Educators and Kindergarten Teachers in program planning and practice.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood
  • Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting Certificate (HLTAID004) or equivalent
  • 3 years experience in supporting the planning, implementation and evaluation of a learning environment based on contemporary theories and pedagogies in early childhood.
  • Protecting Children Mandatory Reporting Training
  • Current Working with Children's Check
  • Be passionate, caring and nurturing
  • Contribute positively to the team culture and promote professional growth
  • Coach and mentor a diverse group of educators in delivering high-quality educational programs
  • Understand the expectations of and ensure compliance with the Victorian and National Curriculum Frameworks, National Quality Standards and the current Regulations.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with children and their families
  • Have a strong passion for early childhood education
  • Have a sound understanding of inquiry-based learning
