Kingston Active helps keep our Kingston community active at Waves Leisure Centre. Our Centre has a range of wet and dry programs and activities to suit the entire community. The role
City of Kingston, Waves Leisure Centre is currently recruiting for qualified Lifeguards to join our Operations team. You will utilise your experience in pool life-guarding techniques and customer service to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the community.
Our lifeguards are an integral part of our team and are required to be focused and capable of responding quickly to emergency situations. We are recipients of the Life Saving Victoria. Platinum Pool Award and we promote safety and enjoyment including the Watch Around the Water program.
Lifeguards are required to educate the community, enforce our Watch Around the Water policy and provide exceptional customer service at all times. As part of our customer focused team, your ability to establish friendly and professional relationships with our members and provide accurate information on all services available at the Centre will be essential to your success.
About you
You must hold a current Pool Lifeguard award; a Level 2 First Aid certificate and a Working with Children check. You will also be required to undertake a Police check. In addition to these accreditations, you will have demonstrated high standards of initiative, safety awareness and customer service.
You must have a flexible attitude and be available to work various hours including weekends, mornings and evenings.
