A bit about the role  

The Operations Coordinator supports the Head of Facility Operations in overseeing day to day operations across Kingston’s two aquatic and leisure centres. You’ll manage and support venue supervisors and lifeguard teams, ensuring compliance, safety and exceptional customer experiences. 

This role is hands on and fast paced, ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, coordinating people and processes, and maintaining safe, well run facilities. 

What you’ll deliver                          

  • Oversee facility safety, compliance and operational processes  

  • Support customer service and respond to issues professionally  

  • Coordinate maintenance, cleaning, supervision and incident reporting  

  • Supervise staff, contractors and visitors  

  • Assist with emergency planning, budgets and special events  

  • Coordinate and develop a large operations team 

  • Be available to undertake on-call and out of hours duties on a rostered capacity  

What You’ll Bring/ Your Skills and Experience  

  • Experience in aquatic or leisure facility operations  

  • Pool Operator’s Certificate  

  • First Aid (Level 2), CPR and Pool Lifeguard qualification  

  • Strong coordination, communication and problem solving skills  

  • Ability to manage teams and maintain safe work practices  

  • Tertiary qualification (highly regarded)
