The City Works department provides is responsible for the maintenance of all Civil Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Waste services and cleaning for Council.

 

The role

We are seeking a Waste Officer to join the Waste and Asset Care team. Reporting to the Waste Coordinator, your role is to:

  • Deal with waste contractors and members of the community to ensure services are operating effectively
  • Assist in maintaining waste services through inspections of waste issues and infrastructure
  • Contribute to the broader City Works department with a customer focused manner

 

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • demonstrated experience in the waste industry and confidence with technology
  • an eye for detail who enjoys working with contractors and the community 
  • the ability to work closely with colleagues as part of a team or individually
