  • $83,421 - $96,065 per annum plus superannuation (dependent on experience)
  • Location: Primarily based in Cheltenham, with some on-site work in Moorabbin and Parkdale
About the team
 
The Arts, Events and Libraries Department at the City of Kingston delivers contemporary programs, activities and events that create strong learning, recreational, social and cultural outcomes for our community. Through innovation and continuous improvement, we’re committed to high-quality experiences that are accessible and inclusive.

As our Arts & Culture Project Officer, you’ll work within Kington Arts' Creative Activities team to deliver innovative projects that engage our creative community, grow participation and expand audiences. You’ll develop and coordinate community arts programs, build strong partnerships across Council and with external stakeholders, and help take arts and culture beyond our venues and into community spaces.

Responsibilities include                          

  • Program development and delivery 
  • Audience development and promotion                                                                             
  • Monitoring and reporting

Some work outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience in planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating arts projects, including curating experiences and programs in public spaces, and coordination of community-based and professional arts programs and events. 
  • Proficiency in time management, prioritising workloads, and coordinating tasks for self and team members. 
  • Strong relationship management, stakeholder management and effective communication skills
  • Appropriate academic qualification and/or experience in community arts.
