The City of Kingston's Building Maintenance team in City Works have a great team culture and excellent working relations with stakeholders and community members. Based in Dingley Village, the team undertake repairs on Council owned and managed facilities, public reserves and beach infrastructures. 

The role

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Crew member to join the City Works team. Reporting to Nicholas Lynch, Coordinator Building Maintenance, your role is to:

  • Carry out routine, reactive and emergency works on Council’s building and facilities infrastructure in a timely manner to make safe
  • Identify and report potential problem areas or conditions to the Building Maintenance Coordinator
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external customers to deliver outcomes aligned to the departmental and organisational objectives.

  • Trade based/carpentry/ cabinet making experience
  • A can-do attitude and the ability to learn and improve
  • A team-player with good communication skills
