    The Environmental Planning Team works to improve environmental outcomes for the organisation and the Kingston community. We are a small, passionate team, dedicated to facilitating change.

    The role

    We are seeking a Climate Change Adaptation professional to join the Environmental Planning Team. Reporting to the Team Leader, Environmental Planning, your role is to:

    • Lead Council’s climate risk assessment and adaptation response.
    • Drive organisational change to build Council’s climate adaptation capacity and our community’s climate resilience.
    • Represent Council on relevant coordination and advisory panels.

    About you

    We are looking for someone with:

    • A passion for driving climate adaptation and resilience action.
    • Expertise and demonstrated experience in climate risk assessment and adaptation relevant to local government, and
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
    • Tertiary qualifications in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering or closely related disciplines.
