Within the Aged and Disability department AccessCare, the Community Support team assists people to remain living in their own homes and stay connected to their community with transport to essential services and social activities.

The role

We are seeking a Community Bus driver (casual) to join the Social Engagement team based at Dingley Village. Reporting to the Community Access Coordinator, your role is to:

  • To transport bus passengers in a safe, enjoyable, and courteous manner meeting all compliance requirements, including any regulations due to COVID-19 protocols. 
  • To observe the health and wellbeing of passengers and report any concerns in a confidential, non-judgemental manner.
  • Plan and monitor rosters and transport routes to support all scheduled bus activity.
  • Engage with a range of stakeholders external to AccessCare, to support passengers in a range of activities.

About you

You will have:

  • Heavy Duty Licence and Driver’s Certificate/knowledge of requirements for these licences
  • Driver’s accreditation
  • Car licence
  • Working with Children’s Check
