  • Contribute to High-Quality, Child-Safe, Council-Run Early Childhood Programs
  • Full time opportunities that include a monthly rostered day off 
  • Part time opportunities of 8 hour shifts (2 or 3 day positions) 
  • All roles operate on a rotating roster, with shifts ranging from 6:45am to 6:15pm 
  • $69,181 - $73,600 per annum plus superannuation (pro rata) plus superannuation (dependent on experience) 
  • Location:  Carrum, Edithvale or Parkdale

A bit about the role 

The Certificate 3 Qualified Early Years Educator provides responsive high-quality care and education for children in accordance with the City of Kingston Policies, Procedures, Philosophies, relevant Regulations and Frameworks. Under the guidance of the Education and Care Leader or Kindergarten Teacher contribute to the planning, implementing and evaluating children’s learning.

In this role you will: 

  • Supervise Children: Maintain the highest level of safety by actively engaging with children while supervising and monitoring their learning experiences, interactions, and routines at all times to ensure their well-being.
  • Provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment to ensure the inclusion of all children
  • Contribute positively to the team culture.
  • Build relationships: Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with children, families and other team members  
  • Work Together: Collaborate with leaders, coworkers, families, children, and the community
  • Adhere to the requirements of the National Quality Standards and framework, Regulations and EYLF                                       
  • Program Implementation: Assist in the implementation of high-quality children’s programs that respond to individual strengths and interests of children, families, and staff. 

 

Your Skills and Experience 

As a passionate, caring and nurturing individual, you will have a strong passion for Early Childhood education along with the following;

  • Minimum Qualification: Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) 
  • Clearances: Current Employee Working with Children check 
  • First Aid Certification: Level 2 First Aid, including Asthma & Anaphylaxis management and CPR
