A bit about the role  

The Casual Diploma Qualified Educator provides responsive high quality care and education for children in accordance with the City of Kingston Policies, Procedures, Philosophies, relevant Regulations and Frameworks. Under the guidance of the Education and Care Leader or Kindergarten Teacher contribute to the planning, implementing and evaluating children’s learning. Provide leadership and guidance to Early Years Educators. 

The casual role is ideal for someone who is flexible and enjoys working across a variety of dynamic learning environments and locations.

In this role you will

  • Supervise Children: Ensure the safety of every child by supervising their activities at all times 
  • Build relationships: Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with children, families and other team members  
  • Work Together: Collaborate with leaders, coworkers, families, children, and the community 
  • Adhere to the requirements of the National Quality Standards and framework, Regulations and EYLF                                                                                  
  • Program Implementation: Assist in the implementation of high-quality children’s programs that respond to individual strengths and interests of children, families, and staff. 

Your Skills and Experience

As a passionate, caring and nurturing individual, you will have a strong passion for Early Childhood education along with the following; 

  • Minimum Qualification:  Diploma of early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent) 
  • Clearances: Current Employee Working with Children check
  • First Aid Certification: Level 2 First Aid, including Asthma & Anaphylaxis management and CPR 
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Solid understanding of the expectations of the Victorian and National Curriculum Frameworks, National Quality Standards and the current Regulations.
