Join our team as an Environmental Health Lead.

An exciting opportunity presents itself for an experienced Environmental Health Officer to take on a leadership role in a newly created Environmental Health Lead position.

About the role:

As the Environmental Health Lead, you will be involved in:

  • Food safety management
  • Investigation of infectious diseases
  • Health education and community engagement
  • Environmental health protection activities

You will bring

  • A strong commitment to high quality customer service
  • Skills in health planning and project management
  • The ability to guide, mentor and support Environmental Health Services team members
  • Confidence in interpreting legislation and ensuring statutory compliance
  • Strong investigative, reporting and problem-solving skills, including managing complex or sensitive cases

Your Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, declared by the Secretary Department of Health
  • Eligibility for EHPA membership
  • A thorough understanding of relevant legislation
  • Experience working as an Environmental Health Officer
