About this opportunity
As the Project Delivery Lead (Major Projects), you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of the major capital projects portfolio, including planning, delivery and handover. You’ll collaborate with a skilled team to manage budgets, risks, and outcomes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. This role is central to fostering strong partnerships across the organisation, with government agencies, contractors, and our community.
What you’ll deliver
Manage, mentor and support a team of project managers
Oversee delivery of the Major Projects portfolio including risks, budgets, timelines and project performance to deliver successful outcomes
Foster a positive, inclusive and safe team culture where everyone feels valued
Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Prepare project scopes, reports, funding submissions and business cases
Drive continuous improvements across project systems, processes and practices
Your Skills and Experience
Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
Proven experience delivering complex projects (local government experience desirable)
Proven leadership capability and experience guiding diverse teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to navigate complexities, exercise balanced judgement and motivate others
