About this opportunity

As a Maternal and Child Health Nurse, you will provide holistic, family-centred support to families with young children, promoting child health, development and wellbeing. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will:

  • Provide guidance, support and health education to families
  • Conduct child health and development assessments in line with the Victorian MCH Framework
  • Identify emerging concerns and connect families with appropriate services
  • Work collaboratively with health professionals and community partners to support positive outcomes
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and data reporting
  • Support safe practice through infection prevention and control.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous learning

Your Skills and Experience

  • Current registration with AHPRA and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as general nurse and midwife
  • Postgraduate qualification in Maternal and Child Health Nursing
  • Experience delivering Maternal and Child Health or community nursing services
  • Skills in child health assessment, family support and health education
  • Strong clinical documentation and record-keeping skills
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, referrals and care coordination
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
