A bit about the role

This is your chance to make an impact by helping deliver projects that shape where people live, work, and connect.

As a Project Manager you’ll support the delivery of a range of building and capital projects, from concept to completion. You’ll work alongside experienced project managers, coordinate tasks, manage documentation, and help keep projects on track.

What you’ll deliver          

  • Support project managers in planning, coordination, and reporting activities
  • Prepare essential project documents such as business cases, briefs, schedules, and risk registers
  • Manage project records and documentation using platforms like Aconex and in line with Council policies
  • Assist with procurement and tender processes, including preparing tender documents and participating in assessment panels
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and risks, ensuring timely reporting to senior staff
  • Support stakeholder engagement, from liaising with consultants and contractors to assisting community consultations
  • Contribute to safe work practices by supporting occupational health and safety (OHS) compliance in all project activities

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification and/or experience in project management, building and construction, architecture, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience in managing contracts and project documentation
  • Understanding of the Building Code of Australia and construction processes
  • Confident communicator who can work across teams and build positive relationships
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A commitment to delivering projects that add value to the community

Desirable:

  • Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2
  • Proficiency in the use of 365 Microsoft Suite including MS Project
  • Experience supporting capital projects within government or the public sector
