    The City Works department provides is responsible for the maintenance of all Civil Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Waste services and cleaning for Council.

     

    The role

    We are seeking a Waste Project Officer to join the Waste and Asset Care team. Reporting to the Waste Coordinator, your role is to:

    • Work with waste contractors and members of the community to maintain high service levels.
    • Provide strategic and educational waste advice to internal and external customers.
    • Contribute to the broader City Works department with a customer focused manner

     

    About you

    We are looking for someone with:

    • an Environmental Science background and demonstrated experience in the waste industry 
    • an eye for detail who enjoys working closely with contractors and the community 
    • the ability to work closely with colleagues as part of a team or individually
