Our Open Space team maintains Kingston's beautiful parks, sportsgrounds, and recreational facilities, ensuring our community enjoys high-quality green spaces for sport, recreation, and relaxation.
 

We are looking for a Mowing Crew Leader to join our team. In this role, you will lead and coordinate daily mowing operations and turf maintenance practices to Kingston's high profile sites. This role offers variety, outdoor work and satisfaction of maintaining spaces where our community gathers, plays and connects.  

Other Responsibilities include                         

  • Supervise crew members, ensuring safe work practices and quality outcomes
  • Assist with irrigation of high profile sites
  • Deliver a turf nutrition program
  • Maintain and perform routine servicing of mowing equipment and machinery
  • Monitor turf conditions and recommend maintenance strategies                                

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in turf management, landscaping, or similar outdoor maintenance roles

• Leadership skills with ability to motivate and guide team members

• Knowledge of mowing equipment operation and basic mechanical maintenance

• Current driver's license and commitment to workplace safety practices
