About the role

Based at our Dingley Village Depot, the Coordinator Road Maintenance is part of the City Works team and plays a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering road maintenance programs across the municipality. Working with a dedicated field-based team, you will help ensure Kingston's road network remains safe, accessible and well maintained for our growing community.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating the day-to-day delivery of road maintenance activities, including pothole repairs, kerb and channel works, line marking and footpath maintenance
  • Leading, supporting and developing field crews and contractors to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes
  • Assessing and prioritising maintenance requests, inspections and reactive works using asset management systems and operational data
  • Monitoring budgets, tracking program performance and preparing reports to support informed decision-making

About You

You are a collaborative and organised professional with experience coordinating maintenance, construction or infrastructure works. You enjoy leading teams, solving problems and balancing competing priorities to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating road maintenance or civil construction works in a local government or similar environment
  • Knowledge of road construction practices, maintenance techniques, materials and relevant standards
  • Experience supervising field-based teams and managing contractor performance
  • Ability to interpret plans, work orders, and asset management data to prioritise workloads effectively
  • Sound planning, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Current driver's licence
  • Relevant trade or civil construction qualification highly regarded
