About the team

Our Aquatic and Leisure team supports the health and wellbeing of the Kingston community by delivering safe, high-quality facilities and programs. Corporate Services plays a vital role in ensuring strong systems, compliant processes and effective coordination across teams and Council departments.

This role supports operations across Waves Leisure Centre and the new Mordi Aquatic Centre, marking an exciting period of growth and change for the service.

About this opportunity

This is an exciting newly established role that oversees corporate service functions across Waves Leisure Centre and the new Mordi Aquatic Centre.

As the Corporate Services Coordinator, you will support the Head of Business Services by coordinating key corporate and administrative functions that enable Aquatic and Leisure Centres to operate efficiently. The role focuses on maintaining compliant systems, integrating corporate processes into operations, and supporting teams through strong coordination and oversight.

What you’ll deliver                    

  • Coordinate corporate and administrative services across Waves Leisure Centre and the new Mordi Aquatic Centre
  • Implementation, maintenance and monitoring of internal systems, procedures and documentation to meet legislative and Council requirements
  • Work with Council departments to ensure integration of finance, training and development, IT systems, and reporting processes
  • Coordinate procurement, purchasing and stock control activities across facilities and retail operations
  • Support recruitment, induction and training activities
  • Provide Oversight and coordination of operational support activities, including after-hours support where required
  • Assist with budget development, business planning and performance reporting

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a similar coordination, corporate services or operations role (aquatic, leisure or community services desirable)
  • Ability to maintain clear and compliant systems and processes across teams
  • Ability to organise and coordinate work so tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Ability to work with internal teams and external partners to coordinate activities and share information
  • Experience supporting recruitment, training and workforce activities
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (highly regarded)
  • Current CPR Certificate
