  • Multiple casual roles available with flexible work hours during the weekday and weekends are essential.
  • Salary: $43.76 per hour (inclusive of casual loading plus superannuation) 
  • Location: Work across a number of sites in Kingston

This role is part of the Community Hubs team within the Inclusive Communities Department. We are a passionate driven team who love working with the community to meet their needs through the delivery of high-quality programs, activities, and events.

The Duty Officer is the main interface with all hirers, performers and patrons at Kingston Community Centre’s and Hubs and the final eye on the presentation and readiness of the venue for the event. 

We are looking for Duty Officers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the set up and smooth delivery of event requirements, attending to client and patron needs, giving advice on event parameters.

  • Event Preparation: Present the Centre/Hubs in an open, inviting, and safe manner.
  • Customer Service: Provide good customer service to hirers and patrons by responding to requests and providing information as required.
  • Event Closure: Ensure all written reports are completed, the building is clean and secure upon leaving.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and
  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to provide timely, and accurate information and support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to use audio visual technology  
  • Experience working in a front–facing, community environment is desirable
