About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Parking Enforcement Officer to join our Compliance & Amenity Team. Reporting to the Parking Enforcement Supervisor.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a team and independently while making a tangible difference in your community. You'll enjoy variety in your daily work, moving through different neighbourhoods and contributing to Kingston's accessibility and livability goals.

The role of a Parking Officer is to encourage convenient, improved, and fair car parking availability for residents, community safety and improved utilisation of parking spots for all road users. 

Other Responsibilities include

  • Conduct regular parking patrols across Kingston's commercial and residential areas
  • Issue parking infringement notices in accordance with legislation and council policies
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with community members
  • Document and report parking compliance matters accurately

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for positive community interactions
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical fitness for extended walking and outdoor work in various weather conditions
  • Current driver's license and willingness to undertake required compliance training
