About this opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager - Strategic Projects to join our PMO & Major Projects Team. Reporting to the Strategic and Interface Projects Lead, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of high-impact strategic projects across multiple council departments
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, manage budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, community groups, and external partners to ensure project success
  • Implement project governance frameworks and drive continuous improvement initiatives

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in government or similar environments
  • Strong project management qualifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) with demonstrated budget and timeline management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with ability to influence at all organisational levels
  • Experience with project management software and methodologies, plus understanding of local government operation
  • Degree in civil engineering or another related discipline, with several years of subsequent relevant experience.
